|
How Do I
Change A Standard Reply Keypad Address (number) ? |
|
Press the
keypad’s “Clear” key for about 5 seconds (the letter “C”
is shown in the keypad’s display) then release it.
The keypad’s current address is displayed, one digit at
a time. Enter the new three digit address (e.g., 1 4 8).
Now, test it to confirm the change. by either using your
software's test routine, or by repeating the process of
reporting the current number. |
|
Please note
that if you enter the new address too slowly, no change
will be made. |

How do I change a channel on a standard Reply
audience response system
keypad? |
|
While holding the Clear key,
enter the numbers 9, 7, 3 allowing each one to
extinguish before entering the next. Then release the
clear key. The keypad will display its
current channel number (e.g. 0,0,1). Enter the new
channel number in the form of 3 digits (0,0,1 through
0,0,8). Now, test the keypad to confirm the change. (note:
Older Reply keypads do not have this capability.) |

How do I change a channel on a Reply ®
CRS930 wireless interface? |
|
You'll need a pen or small
screwdriver. Locate the channel access hole.
Turn the interface off. Then turn it on again.
Within 3 seconds, click the button inside the access
hole until the desired channel is displayed. |
|
|
|
How can I tell if my standard
Reply ®
audience response keypads are working? |
|
Normal behavior is: with the
interface (base station) powered on, press any key on a keypad.
The number will appear in the keypad's display.
Within about three seconds, it should extinguish.
If instead it flashes slowly, it is unable to send a vote and
should be sent for tuning. If it stays solid and
does not extinguish, make certain that it is assigned the
correct channel. If it is but still remains solid,
it should be sent to Fleetwood for repair. |

|
Can I use more than one standard Reply ® audience
response
system at a time? |
|
Sure, assuming the software you
use does not restrict you from using multiple serial ports.
That said, you then need to have one serial port for
each standard Reply® system that you want to use. The StarTech USB
device is ideal for adding one port. If you need
more than one, we suggest the Keyspan four port or
EdgePort eight port serial to USB hubs.
|
|
|
|
Then, make sure that your Reply®
systems are assigned to different channels. Plug
each interface into a separate serial port and turn them
all on. That's all there is to it. But,
don't forget to test. |
